Burlap Bunny Napkin Rings
How adorable are these bunny napkin rings! So easy to make and you don’t have to sew a thing. Here’s how to put these together in less than an hour.
Get your materials together… you will need:
- Burlap
- White Felt or fun fabric
- Hot Glue Gun
- Iron on backing (stabilizer)
- Mini craft pompoms
For a set of 6 Napkin rings, measure out a 3″ x 9″ square of both the burlap and the iron on adhesive. Using your iron (dry) press the backing on to your burlap.
BE SURE that your fusible backing has the adhesive (bumpy) side down. Putting a damp dish towel between the iron and the fabric pieces will prevent glue from getting on your iron.
Press hard and pick up the iron to move it to a new location, don’t slide. Check the fabric to see if the adhesion is taking and allow it to cool before cutting.
While your glue is cooling/setting, it’s time to cut your bunny figurines. You can down load a picture from the web and print it out for a template or find a suitable template at the dollar store.
I used a stencil to draw 6 little bunnies onto the stabilizer fabric than ironed it on to a fun fabric.
Now measure out 6 bands 1 1/2 “s each on the back side of the burlap and cut those out for your rings. Pull the ends together and hot glue in place, then glue your bunny to the seam to hide it.
Once you have finished making your adorable napkin rings, it’s time to dress the Easter Tablescape. Add a mini Daffodil stem to each napkin ring for an extra touch.
If you want to really add a decorative touch to your holiday table, make these NO-SEW Bunny slip covers to use as chair tie backs or as slip covers for your throw cushions.
